The Center for Excellence in Information Assurance holds courses for students free of charge

The Center for Excellence in Information Assurance at King Saud University held two training courses for students of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information, which are expected to graduate this year under the title (Cyber Security) and (ASP.NET WebForm/MVC Development)

It is worth mentioning that the duration of each two-day course, around 8 hours per course. The course is offered in Arabic in the evening from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm. It was presented in a suitable, unique and free manner without fees. The turnout was very high for the two courses and around 50 students were trained.

The first session was presented in Cyber Security by Dr. Mohammed Al-Dafrawi, a specialist in information security, holder of patents and many certificates and expertise in this field.

Dr. Al-Dafrawi said: "The course aims to increase the student's awareness of the importance of information security, the trained students expected to graduate soon and this course discuss many approaches to cyber security such as phishing and e-mail security .. "

The second session was presented by Wajdi Essam, a specialist in website development, who has many certificates and experience in this field.

 

For his part, Director of the Center for Excellence in Information Assurance, Dr. Jalal Al-Muhtadi said that the Center for Excellence in Information Assurance provides this service to raise the knowledge of information security and this was one of the objectives of the Center.

Al-Muhtadi said: "The center offers free and varied training courses. Among these courses are the basics of information security, cyber security, secure programming, criminal analysis lab, ISO 270001 course and other courses."

It is worth mentioning that the Center offers training courses for government agencies and companies that are interested in this field through modern technical methods and equipped laboratories
